Sunrise House is TradeWind home with many updates, and is located on the shore of Paradise Cove, a lovely spot on Utila. The Main Floor has two Master Suites and a huge Great Room with sweeping windows overlooking the Caribbean. 

 

This contemporary home, located adjacent to Paradise Cove on Utila, in The Bay Islands of Honduras comes complete with views to Roatan to the north, The Cayos Cochinos to the east and the beautifully rugged Pico Bonito Mountains to the south. . Water access via a path out the back door to a flat coral entrance into the Cove makes for perfect snorkeling or a quick swim!

The two "Master Suites" on the Main Floor are on either side of the home and they both flank the living room, dinning room and kitchen that all encompass the Great Room in the center of the home. This is a home designed to take the best visual advantage of the Caribbean that is lapping at the shore of the property. This is where dreams can be fulfilled... read a book whist sipping a coffee at breakfast, or write a book at the end of your day with a cocktail after having prepared your meal in the gourmet kitchen that is another highlight of this home! Of the latest updates, our favorite is the dining nook that extends out  and is fully screened. 

 

This home is on the East Side of the island and generally experiences the famous Easterly Trade Winds that Utila is well known for. This is important because the Sand Flies and Mosquitoes are very sensitive to breezes. We are in the closest to a "Bug Free Zone" on Utila! This exclusive area of the island is also extremely quiet and while close to town, it does avoid the hustle and bustle that can be found closer in.

Utila is very small and if you like walking you can do so easily as we are less than 2 miles from the center of town. You can also rent bikes, scooters, four wheeler and golf carts. While not a necessity, they are a convenience most of our guests choose to avail themselves of. There also "Tuk-Tuks" (our version of a taxi) that will take you anywhere for a set fee per person of about $1.50 each way.

This is a home that was designed to make the most of the vacation time that you've worked hard for! Sit in the living room or on the porch, both overlooking the Caribbean at it's finest, and reward yourself for your efforts whislt you enjoy The Rising Sun.

Tony & Jo are here to make your stay as pleasant as possible, and with over 20 years of living on Utila they know every business on the island, allowing them to arrange virtually anything available on the island.  Pick-up services, drop-off services, arranging excursions, etc. are all just a phone call away.  Additional housekeeping and laundry services are available for an additional fee.  Just ask and we will do all we can to accommodate your needs during your stay with us, and to keep that smile on your face!​House Rules:
