After being met at your point of entry, you will be escorted by your hosts to Laguna Vista. Just a short drive and you will find yourself entering a property to delight.  Upon entering the private driveway, you'll be treated to a one of a kind view on Utila!  The custom pool, champa, and landscaped grounds are a refreshingly welcoming sight following your travels to Utila.

 

The Rental:   

At the pools edge is the private entry into your home with two bedrooms, both with queen sized beds, two full bathrooms , ample locking closet space, air conditioners, ceiling fans and upgraded linens inviting you to relax in style.   A bright and airy living area complete, with flat panel cable television with Roku in place, DVD player, and a custom built sofa bed suitable for small children offers comforts seldom found in the island's rental market.   The residence is also complete with a full size kitchen, including all the accoutrements needed to prepare everything from a quick microwave snack to a gourmet meal from the grill top or from the oven.

The Grounds:   

Just a step outside of your door is the sweet water pool for your exclusive use;  Laguna Vista boasts a free form, custom designed and built swimming pool for your pleasure.   Designed by your hosts and built by Watermania, the premier swimming pool construction company in Central America (with 58 awards for outstanding design and construction), this is a pool built to enjoy.   A grand staircase allows for graceful entry into the pool even with a cool beverage in your hand.  With a standard depth throughout allowing any and all to wander about, this is a social area unsurpassed in Utila vacation rentals. Benches designed into the walls are perfect for conversation gathering points, with one including Jacuzzi jets for a simulating back massage at your pleasure. A waterfall adds the pleasing sound of relaxation to complete your experience.  Have a desire for more?  Just a step from the pool and you are in a custom Jacuzzi with seating for up to six adults. When you're ready to step out and dry off,  you can sit in the comfort of a private champa at the water’s edge that shields you not only from the sun,  but is perfect for anything from quiet reading time to a jovial atmosphere or even for a private party.  The champa, with a terra cotta floor, has indirect lighting, ceiling fans, flow through ventilation,  and plenty of seating to provide after pool enjoyment.   If you desire, a private bar can be set up in a matter of minutes for your convenience or to entertain should you have guests.

Your onsite hosts, Tony and Jo, with their well known and established track record of top notch hospitality and attention to detail have now brought their focus to Laguna Vista, transforming it into the place to be for those looking for something more than ordinary.

Your hosts are pleased able to provide you with an array of activities to fill those hours you might want to leave the grounds.  Should you like to spend an afternoon horseback riding, pick and delivery to and from Red Ridge Riding Stables is a phone call away.  Personal use ATV's, scooters, or golf carts can be arranged and be waiting for you upon your arrival.  If you prefer to sit back and let others transport you, let Laguna Vista arrange for a private yacht to take you to the outer islands for a once in a lifetime diving experience.   If you prefer a larger view of the surroundings allow us to call for a Robinson 44 Helicopter operated by a 25 year veteran pilot to carry you in comfort above the waves giving you a perfect overview of this Caribbean jewel that is Utila.  This helicopter, or other private aircraft, can be arranged to pick you up at your point of entry into Honduras as well, should this be your desire.

For the immediate needs to make your visit more pleasant, consider that should you choose to prepare your own meals, groceries can be delivered.  Should a romantic Five Course meal served beneath the pool side champa fulfill a desire you might have?  A highly recognized retired professional chef is available to turn that desire into a reality. If a relaxing, professional, massage is in order, look no further; a certified massage therapist can be booked at hourly rates.

Water sports are a large draw on Utila, and the reason that many of our guests visit us, consequently your hosts have developed long standing working relationships with the major dive operations on Utila, and diving within a group or private tours can be arranged on your behalf.  Boat trips, captained by seasoned Utila boatmen can take you to the nearby Cayes, on fishing excursions, or just for a tour around the island.  Laguna Vista is pleased to make these arrangements for you, including pick up and drop off to and from the dock.
